I don't think Steele is "on my side," but it has nothing to do with the color of his skin and everything to do with his moderate politics..
Men are more likley to take 'any' risky action. There's bad in that, violent crime. But also good, being more willing to rage against injustice.!

There is only one Republican Congressman I can think of who was anti-war and pro small government, and he was not at all content when Republicans controlled both houses. In fact, he was so discontent that he felt it was necessary to run for president in 2008. Too bad his own party treated him like an outcast during the nomination process. Apparently real conservatives don't belong in the Republican party anymore.?
Great video, but did anyone feel as if the music was a little overpowering, compared to the volume of the narrator? |

The main problem as I see it is that the green movement isn't clear on what it's about. Too often it seems to be focused on things like organic foods, something which is arguably worse for the human ecosystem in terms of being a sustainable source of food for the entire world, and for which the alternative (non-organic foods) is not actually a bad thing. If the green movement were focused more on alternative energy sources and various countermeasures against anthropogenic global warming, maybe more people would get on board since those are two issues that have a clear effect on the rest of the world (despite AGW deniers and their need to ignore the scientific consensus on the matter.)But the green movement seems irrevocably intertwined with extreme "hippie" type viewpoints: vegan or vegeterianism, PETA, anti-globalism, anti-corporatism, anti-capitalism, organic and "natural" products. And if they want to promote those things that's fine as long as they come right out and say that. Hiding those views under the guise of being "green" and "eco-friendly" is what's really the problem. If you want to be eco-friendly, support sustainable sources of food and energy, support the reduction of carbon emissions, and support the search for alternative fuel sources. All the rest of that stuff is just superfluous crap.

Fleagleman, must work for AT&T since he is trying to convince all of you of the futility of trying to change the mind of AT&T through customer feedback. Calling a call center will get you nowhere but sending feedback in writing will do something if enough people make the effort and provide it in a constructive manner. |
