I'm just tired of the absurd score system. IGN's the worst about it (what makes a game an 8.7 rather than an 8.5?), but if we're intent on sticking with numbers, I like the five-point scale.5/5 = Awesome - as close to perfect as you can get, a modern classic4/5 = Good - you should probably play this game3/5 = Decent - there's fun to be had, fans of the genre will likely enjoy2/5 = Below average - this game isn't very good1/5 = Bad - should be avoided by everyone.That's all you need, no quarter points, no half points, just five numbers used to sum up the actual review, where you actually learn something about the game. I don't understand how people can put so much stock in just the number review, it can't tell you much about the actual game. Every game is different, and it's ridiculous to try to hold them up to the same system as if it means anything. Let's look at Wii Sports for example, Wii Bowling specifically. It's simple, anyone can pick up and play, the control scheme is innovative (especially at the time), if all you're looking for is a fun bowling game to play with friends, this is pretty much the perfect bowling game. But the perfect bowling game isn't much of a "game," so why would I use the same scoring system that I use for Fallout 3? The two games aren't comparable. Same goes for movies, I'd consider Beetlejuice to be one of my all-time favorite comedies, and a perfect 5/5 on my scale, but I'd also say The Godfather is 5/5... so looking at just the numbers, Beetlejuice is just as good as The Godfather when they're two movies that are simply impossible to compare.

Actually, Newtonian Dynamics applied correctly rather than modified Newtonian Dynamics yields results closer to observations. For example concerning current dark matter theories. Not enough consideration is given to how much stronger local gravitational attraction between stars is compared to the total galactic gravitational attraction. When it is taken into account one can understand why the outer disk behaves more like a solid plate than a simple application to the entire galaxy. Then there is no more need for "dark matter" to explain the observed universe. Newtonian Mechanics applied correctly also yields results similar to but different than Einstein's E=MC2 formula. At very high velocities the results diverge more rapidly from Einstein's theory which is slow at predicting the increase in the "mass effect" at higher speeds. So they should be carefully observing what is really happening when they power up CERN.!

Not only does it matter if you have it -- it's even a problem if other homes in your neighborhood have it. Construction crews tend to mix and match drywall from different suppliers when they build houses -- it's all based on what's available at the moment. One of the homes in our old neighborhood had drywall from seven different countries (including China). If you try to sell your home in that neighborhood, how will you assure a buyer that your home doesn't have Chinese drywall? Did you tear into every wall to check? You might have Chinese drywall in one room... or maybe the entire house, or there might be none at all. How can you be sure, especially since the house down the street definitely *does* have it, and it was built the same time as yours was?People aren't just afraid of the Chinese drywall. They're also afraid of the *risk* they may be buying a home with it.
